Day 6: Kenpo X - P90X Lean

Hey Guys!!

First, it makes me so happy when I get to this blog every day and see the ratings of people that actually check out my blog everyday! Thank you guys for your amazing support! I hope I am a good role model for all of you out there that are also changing your lives! :)

So, I just got done with my Kenpo X workout! As we all know, it's the end of the week...and it's my first week of P90X Lean. I didn't realize how sore I really was until my workout tonight! I feel it pretty much anywhere! Especially my thighs, legs, sides, and abs! :) The burn is good! Right? As my friend Carolyn said today to me on Facebook, since I'm in pain that means I am doing something right and meeting my goals for strength and to be fit! <3

I think this is actually the FIRST time that I have done every segment and workout rep for this workout! Hey, I deserve a huge pat on the back! **PAT ON THE BACK** Wow, that made me smile! :D I was sore throughout the whole hour; but, I know it's not an injury..so, I pressed on!
Again, I used the silence & cue option (I may just use that option from now on) and played my music in the background. For me, listening to music helps distract me from focusing on the time left, helps encourage me to get through the segment, and ultimately helps me stay upbeat! :) Tonight, I listened to Ke$ha! Not a big fan of her music now that I have actually listened to her. Some of her songs are okay; but, she is down right slutty and raunchy. So, I won't be listening to her anymore. I also listened to Selena Gomez. I really like her music. My husband and I always text each other or repeat the lyrics to each other when we heard her, "Love you like a Love Song". It's like one of our songs...ha ha.
Tonight I will repeat the words in a letter since I've listened to it tonight. :) I am sure that will draw a smile across his face!
We also used to jam together singing at the top of our lungs and dancing to the song when we heard it in the car. We'd crank the song loud and bust out! :) FUN STUFF! I miss that kid like crazy! I look forward to having him in my arms again and making more cool memories like that. :)

Anyway, today I mowed the lawn. I tried the riding mower...yeah, not doing that again! I am one of those people that actually fell off the thing. The problem is our lawn is awkward. It's really hill like and has random pot holes in the grass! So, I switched to my "favorite" push mower, the oh so famous Electric mower! You know the one with the annoying cord that follows you around? Well, upside is...I got a really good workout and had a wonderful sweat marathon! (;

My brain got a workout today as well! I did 23 pages of math homework! My husband, I know would be so proud of me! I will take an exam tomorrow for that textbook! I am ready to get it over with.
So, I am doing two classes this month and I looked at my American History class...TONS OF READING it's actually threatening! TONS OF HOMEWORK I actually felt like I had the wind knocked out of me...5 exams for the class...not so bad...but, geez! Well, it's good college preparation right?? So, I am going to start the first chapter in my American History class tonight...hopefully my textbook is an easy read and the assignments aren't so bad.
So, I am picking my electives and I have 3 slots open...since I want to go pre-med when I start my undergrad studies, I am thinking about taking some advanced math classes like Algebra, Trig/Geometry/Calculus...I don't know I am torn. Anyway, I went way off topic! Sorry, I am a bit stressed; but, it's life sometimes! Especially since I am trying to graduate by January.

So, I drank water today like I was supposed to and I have noticed I have picked up a more vegan/organic diet since my husband has left...I didn't mean to. It just happened. lol.

So, I know this might be TMI...but, I started my monthly today and there were several studies done that cramping and pain can be relieved through exercise and stretching. I tried that out for the first time tonight and the research is accurate! I feel a lot better! :) Of course, I am still cramping...but, the only soreness my mind was on tonight was the fact I practically tortured and did muscle confusion on my body for the first time this week. :)
Tomorrow is day 7 and it's X Stretch. I need it! So, I am going to do that tomorrow. :)

My Brazilian Butt Lift & free 7 day Shakeology is on it's way and should arrive by next Saturday! I am so excited! :)

Well, I better get going! For those of you that are either just getting started and this is your first week in your workout program like it is for me or that have been working out steady for awhile, KEEP GOING!! :) I am proud of you! You are doing good things! Keep your chin up!

I am going to hop in the shower and have a hearty salad with tofu! I didn't end up having that for dinner last night. I was too tired to eat! Ha ha. Good night!
Gina
